the art and soul of birth

We are using this part of our site to celebrate the art of birth. From poetry to paintings, sculpture to theatre, birth stories to quilting, we acknowledge the power of women's ~ and men's ~ creativity in the production of a series of aesthetic forms. This is an area which is infrequently considered, but one which has the potential to emancipate ~ to free us from the shackles of reductionism and scientific rationality, if only for a short time.
