susie wickham

by popular request, susie now has her own page on the site so her friends can find out how she is! susie wickham is a rescue cat who has owned sara since november 1999 and now owns ishvar too.

October 2003

susie is now totally recovered from her broken foot and her enforced time in the cage, and is now happily bouncing around as normal. she helped sara to write an article about cats and birth recently, and is looking forward to its publication in Practicising Midwife next month. her photo is going to be in there as well! we'll put a link here when it gets put up onto the site!

Summer 2003

susie managed somehow (while in the house) to fracture a bone in her foot (ishvar says it is the same injury that david beckham had, in case that impresses anyone else - it certainly impresses him!). at the moment we hope she does not need surgery, but her vet wants to keep her on the feline equivalent of bedrest for a month and so she is currently residing in the living room in the outdoor run which belongs to lorna's rabbit and guinea pig. within the run we have not only susie, but her litter box, food tray, water, furry igloo (where she sleeps), security blankets and all of her cuddly toys. there is barely room for susie, which i think is the point of the exercise, tho ish thinks she might pile all of her equipment up in one corner overnight so she can have a good run around! she is very grateful for the emails and get well wishes she has received and particularly loves her copy of "the seven habits of highly effective cats" which we read to her when she gets bored.
